Since November 2017, the church in the parish of St. Elisabeth in Straubing, Lower Bavaria, can be used for events and church services again. After nearly 30 years, it was time to carry out a comprehensive renovation to the extension of a weekday chapel, a penitential cell, and a wind break. During church services, special church pew heating systems ensure that the temperature is pleasant. To achieve this, 116 heating panels have been installed under the church pews using a special construction method. The altar area and chapel are equipped with panel heating.
Steel panel radiators and vertical heating panels have been installed in the other rooms to provide heating. The special version of the heating panels has proven to be an energy-efficient alternative to conventional electric heating. Several churches in the region have now been equipped with this solution.

The first mention of the foundation of this church is made in documents from the 12th century. The church, a brick building with a single nave with a square tower and vaulted chancel annexe served the Evangelical Lutheran parish as a gathering point for Christian celebrations for centuries.
A friends association was formed in 2012 at which time the building activity started in the church. Apart from restoring the valuable Georgian bell, a electric bell ringing system was installed. So as to be able to hold more cultural events throughout the year, a heating system with underfloor heating was invested in so that the tower room can also be used in the winter as a community and meeting room. The decision was made to install a Kermi x-change compact air/water heat pump with outdoor installation.
One challenge of the installation was the positioning of the heat pump in its final position. As outdoor installation directly adjacent to the church in the neighbouring cemetery was not possible, the only option was inside the church right up in the bell tower. To do this, the heat pump has to be lifted two storey high using a pully to reach the bell tower room. With the combined strength of all service engineers on location, this was successfully achieved. The system is now installed there, invisible from the outside behind one of the portholes in the bell tower room.

One of the three administration locations of the Deutschen Rentenversicherung Nord is located in Hamburg. They are responsible for providing support to around 2,300,000 insured persons and pays out more than 1,000,000 pensions.
Despite these impressive numbers, providing individual consultation is the focus of the self-governing body. Apart from that, the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Nord holds talks on current topics in the area of legal pension insurance, such as rehabilitation, pensions and retirement provisions.

In 2006 the old building of the integrative Kindergarten "Holzland-Knirpse" in Hermsdorf was replaced by a new one with a generously proportioned free play area. The facility is in a new housing development next to some woods which offer the opportunity to go walking and exploring.
Remote heating is used as a heat source with the Kindergarten having its own transfer station. The heat in the rooms of the approx. 12 groups is distributed via the 1800 m² large x-net tacker system which allows the "Holzland tots" to crawl, play and have fun on a warm floor.

The Institute for the World Economy (IfW) at the University of Kiel is a centre dedicated to research of the world economy and economic policy. The institute regards its main task as being researching innovative approaches to solutions for pressing problems in the world economy. The IfW is an advisor for decision-makers in politics, economy and society. The Institute for the World Economy was founded in 1914. It was founded by Bernhard Harms under the name "Königliches Institut für Seeverkehr und Weltwirtschaft" - Royal Institute for Maritime Traffic and World Economy and in 1933, was renamed to today's Institute for the World Economy. It was the first institution worldwide to research international relationships.
Apart from profile panel radiators, around 200 radiators made by Kermi were installed.

After the District Court Düsseldorf already founded in 1820, the Local Court Düsseldorf was set up in 1879. It started then with four judges, one of whom gained literary fame: With his death in a duel, the local judge Emil Hartwich provided the basis for Theodor Fontane's work of fiction "Effi Briest". Over the years, the courts were housed in different buildings, until in 1915 they moved into what was the new justice building in the Mühlenstraße.
Changed framework conditions made a new-build in Werdener Strasse, which they moved into at the end of 2009. The building constructed and managed by the building and real estate management authority NRW meets all the requirements of a modern administration building. Energy-efficient heating of the rooms is ensured by therm-x2 energy-saving radiators from Kermi.

Linz is the regional capital of Upper Austria and with approx. 200,000 inhabitants, the third largest city in Austria after Vienna and Graz. The Hauserhof, named after the Governor Johann Nepomuk Hauser was built in the years 1950 to 1953. In June 2005, construction work on general refurbishment of the Hauserhof was started and was completed in 2007. The renovation of the Hauserhof is another building block in the efforts to modernise the area around the railway station in Linz. As the administration building of the Upper Austrian regional government, the Hauserhof houses approx. 15,000 square metres of office space for various regional authorities.
Approx. 1100 Kermi "therm-x2" energy-saving radiators ensure there is a comfortable level of warmth in the building refurbished using the latest technology.

With the new-build which is connected to the existing building, the intention is to house all the employees of the main customs office. Above all, due to the increased area "Financial control of illegal employment", a large amount of additional space is required. With the new-build, a main area of floorspace totalling 2843 m² was created. The central staircase and the lift for disabled access are in the head construction by the main entrance and with both the generously sized steel-glass facade as well as a strong inside-outside connection they also achieve a well designed connection to the facade of the old building with its entrance.
Kermi is represented in this construction project with more than 320 convectors and heating panels.

In 2005 and 2006, the new-build of the judiciary Centre was constructed along the Adalbertsteinweg in Aachen. With the district and local court, administration, labour and social welfare court as well as the Public Prosecutor's Office Aachen, for the first time in North Rhine-Westphalia, six judicial authorities will be housed in the same building. Nowhere else would the description "Justice of short distances" fit better than here.
To provide pleasant temperatures, among other things around 1300 Kermi plan valve radiators have been installed.

The Gothic town hall is considered to be the trademark of the town of Weißenburg and was completed in 1477. Since then, the three-storey sandstone building has been subjected to several conversions and changes. During the refurbishment in 2004, above all the use of a heating system which was compatible with the architecture was key, as the outdated uneconomical boiler needed replacing.
With the aid of the Kermi x-net panel heating system (C12 tacker system, as well as C13 drying system) it has been possible to retain the historic architecture of the house while simultaneously ensuring cosy thermal comfort with a high level of efficiency.

Nuremberg Zoo is among the most well-known zoological facilities in Germany. More than one million visitors enjoy visiting the exotic world of animals every year.
In August 2009 the seventy year old monkey enclosure, the "Affenberg", was completely redesigned. The baboons now have 100 m² usable space in the building and an enclosed area of approx. 280 m³ at their disposal. Important innovations in comparison to the old accommodation: Considerably more space for the monkeys, transparency of building for monkeys and visitors, structured climbing apparatus, the option to retreat thanks to the way the rooms are divided up, alternative routes with a circular run and the possibility for the keepers to work with the monkeys at very close proximity.
The facility is also keeping up with the times with its heating technology. Systems from the x-net surface heating programme by Kermi have been selected for heat transfer. Because of the required bedding on the floor, 120 m² of wall heating have been installed as a wet system invisibly in the natural looking walls. The wall heating is inaccessible to any curious animals and with the even temperature level it stays at, it ensures energy-efficient warmth which comes very close to reproducing natural conditions. Conventional air heating would dry out the air too much which in turn would damage the respiratory tracts of the animals. In the functional spaces, the easy-fit x-net C11 underfloor heating system on knob panels from the Kermi range ensures pleasant working conditions for the keepers.
