Europe's most modern tool logistics

LogisticCity Hoffmann Group Nuremberg

With the new logistics centre in Nuremberg, the Hoffmann Group has implemented the largest project in its more than 100-year history, creating the world's strongest tool logistics system. Since summer 2021, up to 40,000 parcels have been leaving the highly automated logistics centre every day. The 21.5-hectare site houses a central warehouse with three logistics halls, a ServiceCentre and a TechnologyCentre for a total of 900 employees.

The new complex was equipped with around 600 profile radiators with integrated valve from KERMI. Heating panels and convectors with radiation shields were also used, which provide rapid heat thanks to their enormous heating capacity.

Hall 3C Nuremberg Exhibition Centre

After around one and a half years of construction, the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre has been enriched by an important exhibition hall: Hall 3C, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, impresses with its architecture and is the new eye-catcher in the south of the exhibition grounds.

The 70 million euro project also fulfils the important function of a "buffer hall" and is intended to compensate for space that will be lost as part of upcoming construction measures, thus keeping the gross exhibition space at 170,000 m². 2,300 tonnes of steel were used in the construction of the exhibition hall. The hall has a 3,000 m² glass façade. Its roof spans 10,200 m² without supports, resulting in an exhibition area of approx. 9,600 m².

In order to guarantee the desired thermal comfort with the imposing glass surfaces, KERMI convectors with radiation shields were used as visual design elements. These act as a protective shield for the large exterior glazing and emit a pleasant, even radiant heat into the room.

Heating panels and therm-x2 steel panel radiators were also installed.
