FAQs – Frequently asked questions

Where can I find vacancies and how do I apply?

You can access our online job board where you can apply directly for the job you are interested in.

The online application process replaces the classic paper-based application portfolio at Kermi. This allows us to process your application quickly and smoothly and get back to you as quickly as possible.

If you want to apply for several professions, then please upload a separate job application for each to the application system.

Can I submit a speculative job application?

Haven’t found a suitable vacancy on our job board?

Then we would welcome your Speculative application, which you can also submit online.

What information does my application need to include?

Please include a covering letter, your CV, work references or your two most recent school reports respectively and where applicable, work experience references and additional qualifications.

Here, you can either upload an entire application document or individual documents. The following file formats are possible: Word (doc, docx), PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF. No individual document may be larger than 7 MB. Please do not upload any PDF or Word documents which are password protected or read only.

If you are applying for an apprenticeship, then your application should show why you have chosen your selected vocational profession and why you want to complete your apprenticeship at Kermi.

Where and when can I apply for a holiday job?

We offer holiday jobs at the usual holiday times and times between terms.

Please apply online in plenty of time .

In what time period do I need to apply for an apprenticeship?

An application of this kind can be submitted between the start of the summer holidays until mid-August at the latest in any year.

Is work experience at Kermi obligatory to be considered for an apprenticeship?

As a general rule, work experience is not obligatory to get an apprenticeship.

However, it is a good way to show you are interested in your selected vocational profession.

If you have not been successful in getting an apprenticeship at Kermi then you are welcome to complete a placement at another company to gain experience.

How does the application process for apprenticeships work?

Confirmation of receipt

We will use the email address you have provided us with to confirm receipt of your job application and inform you about further dates in the application process.

Selection process

Once we have looked through all the job applications received, we will invite several applicants to come together to our site at Plattling (Directions). Using an electronic test, we will initially test your suitability for the profession you have chosen. In a subsequent meeting of all the applicants, we would then like to get to know a bit more about you in person. Here you will also have the opportunity to ask us questions.

Contract

If we have decided to accept you as an apprenticeship in our company, then you will be sent an apprenticeship contract by the end of October at the latest.

We look forward to welcoming you as a Kermian!
