Old buildings are very popular as apartments. They are usually found in prime residential locations and simply have that “certain something”. However, old heating systems do not meet today's ideas of comfort and efficiency, nor do they comply with the current Renewable Energies Heat Act. The radiators are also starting to act their age and are a factor in these properties where there is great potential for savings. Because: No other refurbishment measure on its own is as efficient as modernising the heating system.
The older a house gets, the more charm its architecture can exude. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the building services. Especially not when it comes to exhaust gas and consumption values. If you then want to save on heating costs and increase comfort, there is no getting around modernising the heating system.
Old buildings are not only charming, they often enough also have their pitfalls. These become particularly apparent when renovating them. Not all “new technology” will fit behind the venerable façade. So it's good when flexible solutions are available, specially developed for renovating old buildings.
