Kermi x-well Zentrale Wohnraumlüftung

x-well® central residental ventilation Healthy thermal comfort for modern new-builds.

Bring new freshness into your four walls.

Due to stricter building regulations, e.g. the energy saving ordinance (EnEV), new-builds are becoming more or less hermetically sealed buildings without natural air exchange to the outside. Every day activities such as cooking, washing or showering as well as the air breathed by the residents however increases the humidity in the rooms. Without sufficient ventilation, the health risks to people and to the building arising from mould forming are increased. To ensure the minimum hygienic air exchange, it would be necessary to air throughout for approx. 10 minutes every two hours. How can this be achieved in reality?

This is where controlled residental ventilation solves the problem. It ensures you have fresh air and great thermal comfort. The Kermi x-well residental ventilation systems are available as both central and decentralised systems - for renovations in existing buildings as well as for new-builds.

x-well® residental ventilation - the central system.

  • Effective sound insulation thanks to sophisticated system components.
  • Avoiding draughts.
  • Automatic summer bypass - the outside air comes into the building in the summer without being heated.
  • Demand-lead control using a humidity sensor (depending on the equipment the ventilation system features). High, quick increases in the humidity caused by cooking or taking a bath are detected, the ventilation device automatically adjusts the air throughput to compensate for the increase.
  • The heat recovery ensures a pleasant supply air temperature and saves heating energy.
  • Low electricity consumption thanks to efficient ventilators.

Healthy thermal comfort for modern new-builds.

Systems for residental ventilation are standard today for all modern new-builds. Kermi x-well means you are always right up to date - both technically and with regards to the newest building and energy regulations.

Saving energy while ventilating.

x-well residental ventilation systems consume very little energy while working due to the high heat distribution. So in contrast to window airing, ventilation which is independent of the user is ensured, without unnecessary heat being lost. This saves fuel and therefore hard cash.

Aesthetically pleasing and functional for optimal air.

The new Kermi x-well design air vents offer harmonious solutions for various installation situations in both suspended ceilings and also in dry construction walls. As flow-optimised source air vents, they contribute towards comfortable ventilation of rooms.

Everything perfectly controlled.

With demand-led control, the air quantity is adjusted to current demand. (depending on the equipment that the ventilation devices have).

x-well® S series

Living space ventilation unit with heat recovery

The compact ventilation units in the Kermi x-well® S series with heat recovery offer comfortable and controlled living space ventilation. The volume flows can be controlled as required via the relative humidity of the waste air. The device has a humidity sensor integrated in the exhaust air. With this sensor, it is possible to control the volume flows according to demand through the relative humidity. The countercurrent heat exchanger made of polystyrene used for heat recovery proves to be particularly efficient. In contrast to that, the integrated summer bypass provides support in the summer to ensure that no warm air gets inside the building. The white powder-coated (RAL 9003) housing made of stainless steel is heat insulated and soundproof. The removable front part provides easy access for service and maintenance work or for replacing filter cartridges.

Benefits

  • Simple operation - 5 steps
  • Monitoring operating data
  • Filter change indicator (time-controlled)
  • Bypass function in the summer
  • Demand-regulated control via humidity
  • Can be converted from left-hand to right-hand version
  • Pre-heating coil can be integrated as an option
  • Pressure sensor can be integrated as an option
  • Automatic control of the thaw function for the countercurrent heat transfer unit

Using a flat ventilation unit as an example, the S280, shows how it is possible to install the unit as well as the main duct system in the suspended ceiling. Here, manifolds/collectors and the ventilation ducts are encased in the bare concrete ceiling.

When retrospectively installing an x-well residental ventilation system, it makes sense to integrate it into the floor construction. Here, the ventilation ducts are laid in the insulation layer. Ideal for renovation situations.

If the controlled residental ventilation is used over several storeys, then the ventilation unit is connected to the manifold/collector via silencers and main duct pipes. There are three different options for integrating the ventilation ducts: in the suspended ceiling, in the bare concrete ceiling or on the bare concrete ceiling.

x-well® F170

Living space ventilation unit with heat recovery

The Kermi x-well® F170 with heat recovery offers comfortable and controlled living space ventilation as a compact ventilation unit. Using a flat ventilation unit as an example, the F170, shows how it is possible to install the unit as well as the main duct system in the suspended ceiling. Here, manifolds/collectors and the ventilation ducts are encased in the bare concrete ceiling.

Integration in a suspended ceiling could be an option when fitting retrospectively, e.g. while renovating, if the ceilings in the rooms are high enough. For example, with manifolds/collectors which can be installed hanging from the ceiling, round or flat ventilation ducts are connected.
